Fashion brand retailer Kushitic opens store at Eastleigh's BBS Mall

Fashion brand retailer Kushitic opened its doors on the first floor of the BBS Mall in Eastleigh, Nairobi, on Sunday, bringing the community cosmetics, women's clothing such as abayas, designer handbags and exotic perfumes.

Comedian Nasra Yusuf hosted the event, which was graced by leaders including Eastleigh North MCA Ahmedqadar Dabar and Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan.

Speaking to The Eastleigh Voice, business proprietor Khadija Noor expressed her long-term desire to open a store at BBS Mall

Khadija said she always wanted to make brand cosmetic products and perfumes accessible to both women and men in Nairobi.

"All these are brands that are not easily available. I wanted to make it easy for women to find them, men too when it came to perfumes," she said.

Asked why she preferred this location, Khadija cited the business-friendly environment, spaciousness, and the strategic location, qualities she described as key to success.

Ahmedqadar praised Khadija for introducing unique products to the market, noting it was encouraging to see women take such steps.

"It is great to see women also doing business. This will create job opportunities for others," he said.

Yusuf, the chief guest, highlighted Eastleigh's quick growth and its ability to attract big businesses.

He also congratulated Khadija on her new investment, wished her success and urged the community to support Kushitic.

"Buy these sweet-scented perfumes and support Khadija. I want Kushitic to be among the best shops at BBS Mall," said the MP.

Fatuma Hassan, one of Kushitic's first customers, said she had been waiting eagerly for the shop's opening.

"I waited long to be among the first to shop here so that I could get all the exotic products I wanted," she said.
